EUROGINE was founded in 1991 with the aim of developing and manufacturing devices for contraception and family planning for the domestic market, as well as products for gynaecological examination, diagnosis and surgery, specializing from the beginning in the development and manufacturing of copper-bearing Intrauterine Devices, and thus becoming the only Spanish company that manufactures IUDs.

From the beginning, it was a pioneer in design and manufacturing, and, in 1998, it developed the GOLD T^® IUD with the collaboration of the CDTI (Center for Technological and Industrial Development) and the UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia), the only IUD in the world with copper wire with a gold core.

The significant domestic growth led the company to the important challenge of international expansion. The different types of IUDs, such as the EUROGINE^® T 380, the ANCORA 375 and the prestigious GOLD T^® are currently found in more than 50 countries in Europe, Asia, the Americas and Africa. EUROGINE is today one of the most known manufacturers of copper IUDs worldwide.

In 2015, EUROGINE completed the transfer of its facilities with the inauguration of a new building in which they are located. This new building has the necessary facilities to achieve the company's main objective, as well as to comply beyond the regulations applicable to this sector, expanding the technology applied to storage, production, quality control, the R+D laboratory, without forgetting management and administration, distribution and logistics.

Thus, EUROGINE has a validated and certified ISO 7 class clean room for the manufacture of its IUDs, to which periodic controls are carried out both at a functional and microbiological level. The sterilization of the products is made using the Ethylene Oxide method with a validated process and is carried out by a specialized and certified subcontracted company. Likewise, manufacturing batches are microbiologically controlled by an accredited external laboratory. And all this because EUROGINE believes that quality is fundamental in any production and commercial process.
